How does it work?
You pick up a box with clay, colors and all the necessary tools for making ceramics at NEIGHBOURS lab, Haškova 4, Prague 7, opening hours: Tuesday and Wednesday 4 - 6 pm
In your environment, according to your possibilities and imagination, you will then process, shape, and model the clay, let the products dry slowly, and then you can decorate with colors. The attached manual will help you with all steps.
You will carefully pack the dried and painted products and deliver them back to my studio.
I will then take care of their firing*, after that I will glaze the products (with a transparent glaze) and put them back into the kiln for a sharp firing**. For that moment, you can look forward to seeing how it turns out.
You can then pick up the finished items again on Tuesday or Wednesday at the same time.
*The first firing in which all bound water leaves the clay and the objects become hard, porous and brittle. After loading and switching on the furnace, the process takes about 24 hours and the furnace reaches a temperature of up to 850 degrees Celsius.
**Firing to the final firing temperature, at which the clay objects sinter in the kiln and the glaze melts into a continuous shiny surface. The final temperature reaches up to 1200 degrees Celsius.

9. manual / basic information in 8 points
10. servis / part of the box is also a service that I provide in the studio: glazing and loading of the kiln, possible technical support :)
